You can find an important timeline here that is helpful to follow for you to begin to plan for your student's important upcoming senior year. Please take a look at it and talk with your child about things that need to be accomplished. There are also links to register for the SAT and ACT. You need to begin to make a plan as to when your child will take these exams. There is no "perfect" time, but I recommend that your child get at least one of the tests taken before his/her senior year begins. If he/she is not happy with their score then there will be time to retest. Make sure that your child is preparing for the exam. Use the materials online that the SAT and ACT offer, check out a book at the library to help, buy a study guide at the bookstore or sign up for one of the many online classes. Proper preparation is instrumental in a favorable test score. We also have a helpful quiz for parents linked here to help you prepare for senior year. Juniors are encouraged to start visiting colleges and universities now. Each student is permitted to take 2 college visit days per semester. The college visit form must be submitted in the office 24 hours prior to the scheduled visit.
