Tennis History Made!

The varsity tennis team finished the season with its third consecutive winning season! They finished with an 8-3 record in dual matches and won the Eastern Hancock Invitational. Overall, the team lost 3-2 last night in sectionals to Northeastern. Rose Chimenti won #2 singles and Gina Chimenti/Maria Stiens won #1 doubles. Megan Schroeder, Rose Chimenti, Maria Stiens, Gina Chimenti, and Ari Sanchez-Villalpando all broke school records or increased their own career school records this year.

While the season may be over for the team, the #1 doubles team of Gina Chimenti and Maria Stiens will be moving on in sectional play by virtue of their win. This is the first time in school history to have anyone advance from round #1 play. They will be in action on 5/26 at Richmond. Good luck to Gina and Maria!
