November 2, 2020Congratulations to freshman outside hitter Hannah Johnston who was recently named WKBV Wetzel Auto Wayne County Athlete of the Week.
In the regional volleyball tournament on last week, Hannah had another excellent performance. In the regional semifinal match, Hannah led the Cardinals to a victory over previously undefeated Traders Point Christian. In that match, Hannah had 11 kills and 18 digs. In the regional final against Cowan, Hannah had 13 kills, 11 digs, and 3 aces in a hard fought loss for the Cardinals. For the season, Hannah led the Cardinals in kills with 222 and in aces with 96. She also ranked third on the team with 250 digs. Her 96 aces is a new school record and currently ranks 6th in the state. The Cardinals finished the season with a record of 16-11.
