Awards!

Recently two fall sports athletes recently some awards that we wanted to recognize.  
 
First, Erica Barker was named the WKBV Wetzel Auto Wayne County Athlete of the Week for the second time this fall.  As a senior, Erica capped her cross country career with great performances at regionals and semi-state.  She ran in the Rushville Regional on 10/19 and finished 8th, which was first among all area female cross country runners.  Erica then ran in the Shelbyville semi-state on 10/26 and once again finished as the top area runner, male or female. 
 
Next, the ICGSA announced its Academic All-State Teams.  Suzanne Becker was named ICGSA Academic All-State for volleyball while Erica Barker was named ICGSA Honorable Mention Academic All-State for cross country.  Congratulations to these two girls for being excellent student-athletes.
