Seton Catholic Athletics is expanding to include Junior High Baseball in the weeks ahead. SCHS staff members, Mr. Evan Schroeder and Mr. Jordan Parker will be coaching the newly formed team comprised of 7
th and 8
th grade boys.
“We will practice at both the Primary Building in the batting cage, and at the Richmond JV field ‘behind’ McBride Stadium,” Schroeder shared. “Our season will start with games at the end of May against Hagerstown, Centerville, etc. but will ultimately compete in the Midwest Ohio 14U league. When the team wraps up in late June they will have 16 -18 games under their belt.”
"The addition of junior high baseball is an exciting addition to our athletic program," said Athletic Director, Mr. Trent Tremain. "We are eager to add the program as a feeder program to our high school program. This will not only provide the necessary participation numbers for the high school program but also provide them with the necessary skills to succeed at the high school level."
Donations are being accepted to help offset field expenses, umpires and start up equipment such as bats, balls, helmets, and skill accessories. Contact the Seton Catholic High School office at 765-965-6956 office to get involved.
