On January 30, four band members from Seton Catholic High attended the annual ISSMA Solo and Ensemble competition in Muncie, Indiana. Accompanied by pianist, and former Seton Catholic parent, Barb Armstrong, all four junior-senior high students earned gold medals for their performances.
Sophomore Trey Bartkus competed on the saxophone; eighth grader Grace Blakely on the trombone; junior Claire Linginfelter on the trumpet; and freshman Nathan Dickman on the drums.
Grace Blakely returned to Muncie on February 6th to compete in the solo voice competition. She was accompanied by Music Director Evan Schroeder as she performed "Let It Snow". Grace received a gold in this category of competition as well.
