Seton Catholic Schools would like to congratulate Mr. Chuck Gilbert on his retirement. This was Mr. Gilbert’s 38thyear of teaching! He taught in the Southern Wells Community Schools for one year, and began at Seton Catholic in 1983 for the rest of his career. During his 38 years of teach-ing, he has taught 6th, 3rd, and 2ndgrade.
When asked his favorite memory of teaching at Seton Catholic he said, “In general I've enjoyed the family feel of Seton. I've been around an amazing group of caring capable people. More specifically I've enjoyed the classroom plays. I've been entertained by many years of talented students."
More than anything, Chuck will miss interacting with curious students and with his colleagues.
His plans for retirement are simply to stay healthy. The Seton Catholic family would like to thank Mr. Gilbert for 37 years of dedication to teaching the students of Seton Catholic School not only academics but also teaching a love for the arts. There was hardly a time that music wasn’t playing in his classroom; and the class plays were truly loved by students and families alike. His quick wit and tolerance in a building full of women, and awareness of knowing exactly when everyone needed that little pick me up piece of Dove chocolate will be deeply missed by his co-workers.
Join us in wishing Mr. Gilbert a happy and healthy retire-ment! Don’t forget the chocolate when you come visit!
