At Seton Catholic High School fundraising efforts are kicked off early in the school year. A t-shirt sale gets things started. Bake sales happen, and a fun, girls only lock-in for students in grades PS -6 takes place. Next up…. a boys’ volleyball tournament where students, parents and staff members battle it out. All for what you might ask? Indiana Women in Need (IWIN).
IWIN Foundation supports women statewide currently receiving treatment for breast cancer by securing and paying for individual services that relieve emotional, physical and financial burdens. Raising money for IWIN has become an annual tradition at Seton Catholic High School supported and organized by volleyball players and their families.
The month long effort concludes with a Volley For the Cure match where fifty percent of the gate admission is donated to IWIN. We are pleased to announce that the girls were able to raise a total of $4,509.13 this year for the cause.
Varsity Volleyball Coach, Jennifer Martin had this to say, “Wow!! That is truly amazing!! So proud of all these girls (and their families)! All that hard work will be greatly appreciated by women right in our community!! We couldn't have done it without everyone pitching in but special thank you to Angie Dickman (parent) for organizing and running all our events.”
