Junior High Choir: Students will sing choral music of all genres from around the world. Students will be taught
the basics of sight singing on solfege (Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-) syllables and matching hand signs. Students will
perform in the Winter and Spring concerts; concert attendance is required. Warm-up techniques and
memorization of Solfege and concert music is a requirement of the class. Matching pitches, sight reading, and
vocal vowels, solo opportunities and harmonization are only some of the experience’s students will be
offered.
Senior High Choir: Students will sing choral music of all genres from around the world. Students will be taught

offered. This course is more advanced than Junior High Choir and at least one year of Junior Choir is
recommended but not required.
