Community Outreach

"The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has sent me to bring glad tidings to the lowly, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to the prisoners, to announce a year of favor from the Lord and a day of vindication by our God, to comfort all who mourn."

One of the hallmarks of the educational program at Seton Catholic is the formation of young men and women as Christian witnesses in the world. In response to Jesus’ call to love others, all students are challenged to integrate this command into their own lives through participation in and reflection on service to the community.

Students work individually and together as a whole on community projects. Group projects may include a canned food drive for an area shelter, raising money for an area breast cancer patient, or painting for an elderly parishioner on the annual Branch Out Day.  Individual hours of service can be accomplished in many ways.  Some examples include serving at church, volunteering to help with an elementary event or walking dogs at the animal shelter.  Students learn the art of giving at Seton Catholic High School.
