Thank you Father Brockmeier from St. Mary's church and school in Rushville for coming and sharing with our students on Vocations Day!
He visited with students in grades 3 -6 during Catholic Schools Week and shared about his life as a Priest. He told them about a day in the life of a priest - bad days and good days. The kids especially like when he told them there were "lots of party celebrations on weekends like baptisms, weddings, etc. and that there was a LOT of cake in his life!"
Meanwhile, our own Father Sengole toured the Primary Building students through the rectory to show them he lives pretty much like they do. One student noted that he lived by himself. . . . and he figured Father doesn't have to live by any rules that way. Everyone got a laugh from that. Another student wondered how Father ate since there was no mom there to cook dinners for him.
Our elementary students loved celebrating Vocations as part of our Catholic Schools Week celebration!
