Letter from new SCHS Principal, Mr. John Markward!

Dear Seton Catholic Parents/Guardians,

 

I would like to formally introduce myself.  My name is John Markward l at Seton Catholic High School.  I am excited and humbled to be the next leader of this great school!  I am looking forward to continuing many great traditions while exploring new paths with endless opportunities for our students and school. 

 

Not only am I the Principal, but I am also a proud Seton parent and parish member.  My two children have attended Seton Catholic schools since Pre-K and have thrived!  As a parent, I am focused on the future of Seton Catholic High School and the positive impact that WE can make on our students.  There are many goals and aspirations that I have for Seton that will take place over the next few years. 

 

When I joined the staff as a teacher two years ago, I made a personal decision to take a position to be closer to my wife and family.  I quickly realized that I was becoming part of a larger family and that Seton was God’s calling for me.  When the opportunity for me to move into a leadership role came, I realized that this is God’s plan for me and that I am truly blessed!

 

As many of you have seen, our re-occurring theme this summer for Seton Catholic Schools has been change.  When I think of the word change, there are many things that come to mind.  In the dictionary, change is defined as “to make the form, nature, content, future courses, etc. of something different from what it is.”  When you look up “change” in the thesaurus, words like innovation, transformation, diversification, and development appear.  The definition and synonyms of change encapsulate what our future at Seton Catholic High School looks like.  We have some amazing opportunities and some great things coming our way in the near and distant future!

 

To conclude, I would like to extend an invitation to all parents to come and meet me on Back to School night on August 8^th, at 6:30 at Seton Catholic High School.  I look forward to seeing everyone!  When you come to Back to School night, I have a box of Seton License plates I would like to handout and see everyone put on the front of their cars!
