Office of the Governor?

As a parent, Jane Barker, was a little surprised and curious when her 16 year old daughter received a letter in the mail from the Office of the Governor.  Was it spam?  No - it was real!  

Congratulations to Junior, Jenna Barker, who was nominated to be a torchbearer for the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay.  Jenna was one of a dozen or so Wayne County residents selected.  Others chosen with ties to our school include Curtis Frame the brother of sophomore Cassidy Frame; Curtis Hieger the nephew of longtime SCHS cook Linda Vogelgesang; and Dave Snow -mayor and former student.

The torch relay will be in Wayne County on September 25th from noon to 4 pm.  Congratulations to Jenna on this great honor!
