Seton Catholic High School is proud to be named a 2016 Advanced Placement (AP) Award recipient by the Indiana Department of Education! Seventy-three high schools –public and private –were named to the list from the total 736 high schools within the state. Our school was the only high school in Wayne County to be recognized!
Advanced Placement is a nationally recognized program. The AP courses are college-level work and corresponding exams designed to be taught in the high school setting. Because most colleges recognize AP coursework, students who earn a 3 or better on an AP exam are typically able to use that as college credit -thus saving on college tuition in the long run!
To be selected for this distinction, schools must have at least
25 percent of their 2016 graduating class receiving a 3, 4, or 5 on an AP exam. For the 2015-16 school year,
65 percent of Seton Catholic students who enrolled in an AP class passed at least one AP exam with a score of 3 or better.
Congratulations to our students who have truly embraced our AP offerings. Congratulations, as well, to our outstanding teachers on a job well done!
